It would be really nice if the RoboFont app provided an easy way to assign shortcuts to extension scripts.

Yes, I know the script can observe keyboard events, but a) end-users will want to assign shortcuts themselves, not script authors. Shortcuts are very workflow-dependent. b) only end-users can resolve shortcut conflicts, etc.

Yes, I know you can do this with the OS X Settings app, but that it is clumsy (http://doc.robofont.com/forums/topic/short-key-scripts/).

You can assign hot keys to scripts from the scripting folder.

That’s excellent, but it doesn’t include scripts from extensions. Or am I missing something?

    That is correct.

For hot keys to scripts in an extension it’s up to the developer of the extension to assign hot keys.
