    Hello,

Is there a way to duplicate a glyph along with all of its kerning metrics? For example, if I designed an “e” but wanted to create an “eacute” with all the same behaviour?

Along the same lines, can all the kerning rules for a glyph be copied and applied to another?

How do you create spacing and kerning classes mentioned in the grouping documentation, and how do you edit those groups in the Kern Center? http://doc.robofont.com/documentation/workspace/group-editor/

    Thanks for you help.

Check out MetricsMachine. Just about every user of Robofont does their kerning with it and it handles class-based kerning very well.

You can create kerning groups by naming the group with @groupName

All group names starting with an @ will be listed in the kerning sheet

    good luck

    Thanks Frederik,

I haven’t got these kerning groups to work. Am I understanding this correctly?

I made a group called “@square” made up of “H”, “M”, “N”. Then in the kerning center I enter “@square” into the text field to work with the same kerning for all three letters? That does not seem to be working.

    thanks for your time,
    Ian

    He Ian

Try to add a kerning pair with the ‘+’ button at the bottom. All your kerning groups, starting with a ‘@’ will be listed in the combo box

    see http://doc.robofont.com/documentation/workspace/metrics/kern-center/

    good luck!
